For Promoters: Local Networking Hardwire Setup

Use Case: when all computers are close to the finish line use 1 Netgear switch as seen in the diagram

Links to purchase items:


  1. Hang the RaceReady Box on the finish line arch
  2. Run an ethernet cable from the RR router over to a Netgear unmanaged switch
  3. Run Ethernet cables from the switch to all desired computers
NOTE:
**plug the ethernet cable from the RR router into port 1 on the Netgear switch for it to work correctly** 
**use remaining ports in the Netgear switch to run cables to your computers**

Use Case: when registration is far away from the finish line use 2 Netgear Switches.

  1. Hang the RaceReady Box on the finish line arch
  2. Run an ethernet cable from the RR router over to a Netgear unmanaged switch
  3. Run an ethernet cable from switch 1 to your Live Timing Computer
  4. Run Ethernet cables from switch 1 to port 1 of switch 2
  5. Run ethernet cables to all desired computers
NOTE:
**plug the ethernet cable from the RR router into port 1 on the Netgear switch for it to work correctly** 
**plut the ethernet cable from switch 1 into port 1 of switch 2 for it to work correctly**
**use remaining ports in the Netgear switch 2 to run cables to your computers**
