How do I show that someone has shown up for a race?
RaceReady allows your customers to purchase race admissions, wristbands, campsites, merchandise...you name it. But how do you know who to let in the gate, or who to give wristbands to? What if they bought 10 wristbands, but half of the group showed up early and the other half late?
RaceReady's got you.
First, we recommend holding check-in for each race you hold, however you technically DON'T NEED TO CHECK IN RACERS unless you want to. A racer's eligibility to be scored doesn't depend on whether they checked in. Instead, their eligibility to be scored depends on whether they signed up for an event. Since this is usually done at check-in, we still recommend holding check-in.
To check in anyone, including racers, log in to your account. Go to Events > menu > Manage Race:
You check in Racers in one place, and everyone else in another place (e.g. campsites, wristbands, etc.)
From the Racers Tab, find the racer you want to check in and click "Check In" next to their name. (To search for their name, click ctrl+f (cmd+f on a mac) and type in the name you're searching for and hit enter to cycle through the matches on that page.)
Once you select "Check In" you'll see a popup to check in that racer:
Click on the Admissions tab, and search for the name of the person who purchased the items or campsites:
Once you find the individual's name who made the purchase, click on it. It will pull up their entire purchase. You can then check in for every item in their purchase which is necessary at that time:
If they are part of a larger group (say, there are 10 wristbands in their purchase) but only 5 members of the group are present for check-in, you can check in just those who are present. The remainder of that group can come later and check in with you, and the system will show 5 more wristbands available to be checked in.
Remember to select "Save and Close" to save the check-ins.
